I’m not going to lie…
This will be the last Mum in Business feature for 2024 (because to say the end of December gets craaaaaaaazy would be an understatement!)
So, I’d love to end the year by introducing you to one final (and absolutely lovely) Mum in Business – Olivia Bailey.
Olivia is a Kent Mum-of-one; Registered Physiotherapist and the proud owner of Olivia Bailey Physiotherapy here in Maidstone.
I recently spent a lovely morning with Olivia at her private clinic.
We chatted all about her beautiful business and I got to see her in action…
It is clear that Olivia is incredibly passionate about what she does (and has soooooooo many ideas of things she would like to offer / incorporate in the future)
I really think this is just the beginning for her beautiful business and cant wait to see where it goes next…
Tell us about your business and what services you offer?
I am a physiotherapist currently running my own private clinic; I also work alongside two amazing Osteopaths in another privately-run clinic.
I used to work within the NHS as a Community Neuro/Falls Physiotherapist, but unfortunately it didn’t suit my life after I had my gorgeous son, Leonardo.
After having Leo, I started to venture into the world of Pelvic/Women’s Health Physio - partly due to my own issues and experience in pregnancy and post-partum, and then due to meeting so many women who felt let down or neglected by the healthcare service.
I also run weekly Pilates classes (including our very popular Mum and Baby Pilates class) and I have just started training and teaching Reformer Pilates once a week in an Osteopathy clinic.
What do you offer to your clients that no-one else does?
I believe I offer a completely individual-based approach where I look at each client holistically.
I also hope due to having my Pilates knowledge, I give fun and different ways to complete a client’s rehab.
Where does your inspiration come from?
I suppose a few things.
It sounds cliché but my family and friends - I am surrounded by strong, successful people and they always inspire me to keep pushing forward.
I also think having my son, and meeting so many other pregnant and postpartum women, I feel like I need to create something to help make this stage in a women’s life easier.
In fact, I need to make any stage in a women’s life easier!
What is your favourite part of your job?
Making people feel better.
I love that I get to help people every day, especially if they’ve been living with pain for a long time.
I also love helping people getting people into exercise.
